This
central office as depicted on the lower left, is one of many that our
staff designed. The design involved the layout of equipment present
and for future expansion. The picture shows a overhead cable rack with
fiber duct, grounding cables, and signaling wires. Example of a properly
laid out system is as follows:
(1) The cable rack should be separate as group wise -not mixed up the
cold wires and hot wires .
(2) The structure of cable rack should be level with the floors and
the appropriate equal distance between layers.
(3) Varying sizes of cable racks involve the design of the central office
in a well thought out pattern.
There are three basic types of engineers at Kamudi Engineering. "Switch Engineers" who configure and choose and which type of connectors are needed to intercommunicate the equipment. "Cable Framing Engineers" design the overall plant layout. "Power Engineers" design the power supplies for the equipment.
